Worker struck on head and left wheelchair bound – he gets $700,000

On 20th August 2015, an industrial worker by the name of Chin Swee Leong (“Chin”) was struck on the head by a falling shelving rack at work. The accident fractured Chin’s left skull and vertebra, and left him wheelchair bound and paralysed in his right arm and leg.

In a lawsuit against his employer Mainly Equipment & Trading Pte Ltd and the main contractor Figtree Projects Pte Ltd, the Defendants admitted to 95% liability and agreed to a settlement sum of $700,000. Chin was represented by Hoh Law Corporation.
