Home > Our Cases > Man Fined for Wearing Placard to Promote Religion

A Singaporean man wore a placard around his neck to promote a religious movement without a necessary permit, with similar doings in the past. Such offences carry a maximum fine of S$3,000. In mitigation, it was raised that his actions were only to share the conviction with the public and not to cause offence. He was subsequently fined $1,000.

The man was represented by Hoh Law Corporation.
